As of this morning, my Type keyboard no longer seems to work... as in, I snap it on and it's seemingly not detected at all. I've tried multiple restarts and shutdowns without any change. Touch and pen still work which is how I'm making this post. I don't know if this is from yesterday's updates or a hardware failure. OneNote, which was working fine yesterday, also has a problem when launched where the touch keyboard pops up but quickly disappears and renders 2/3 of the screen vertically white and unusable until I shrink the window then maximize it.
Anyone else have a keyboard mysteriously stop working? Any ideas if that OneNote issue is related?

Surface Type Cover Not In Device Manager
Known issues and additional information about Surface Pro 4; How to get the update. Surface updates are released in stages – not every Surface will receive the update at the same time, but it’ll be delivered to all devices. In some circumstances, you may also see a 'View optional updates' link in the Windows Update settings. Hmm, someone more knowledgeable may know why there's two on my SP3 running win 10 there's HID keyboard and Surface type cover filter device but I'm running a SP4 typecover now. If it were me I'd be tempted to try updating both drivers first, then if that didn't work I'd remove both then reattach the keyboard and reinstall.
